Article summary

This article applies to DELIVER EMPOWER licenses

In your business, every day you have to deal with repetitive operational processes. The constitution of files and deliverables is an important element since it generates a large volume of data. It is therefore a source of error and re-encoding.

As an example, we can mention:

  • Submit data sheets, plans or financial statements for partner approval
  • Communicate work orders to your subcontractors
  • Publish important documentation to the client for information
  • Create cover sheets to facilitate the archiving of your documents
  • Build the permit file or the as-built file at the end of the project

When these actions are frequently repeated, the loss of time is significant.

The workflow is a succession of automatic actions and actions requiring carefully orchestrated human intervention to optimize these processes.

Examples of workflows

Approval Circuits (ISO19650 Publish)

The approval circuit is the perfect example of workflow. It combines automated actions and human interventions as follows:

  • A client submits to the approval of its partners a plan, a technical sheet, a financial document
  • Partners approve or reject this request
  • The circuit adapts on the basis of the answers provided to avoid any unnecessary solicitation.

Issuance of documents (ISO19650 Publish)

Document issuance is a process by which a version of a document is officially transmitted to a recipient. It can also be accompanied by proof of transmission (called the transmittal).

Deliverables and publications (ISO19650 Archive)

The addressee is awaiting an orderly file, compiled on the basis of precise criteria for the purpose of publication. The workflow automates the entire folder creation chain.
